Common Ground

Left - Democrat                                                                                                                                                    Right - Republican

We are Republicans who recognize that politics has been used to divide all Americans for the benefit and profit of the few.   The first step on the path to realizing the original vision of America necessitates losing our illusions about the past.  Our illusions come from lies, mistakes, and inaccurate histories.

At one moment in time in the 20th Century two men agreed to debate the issues that divided America.  They were to have taken that dialog across America in a series of discussions.  They were to meet face-to-face on the same stage so that the substantiative issues of the day could begin to find resolution.

The debate was to be civil, carried out with  respect and courtesy.  The problems with staging debates had already begun.

The death of John F. Kennedy kept those encounters from              John F. Kennedy                      taking place between JFK,  sitting Democratic  president,             Barry Goldwater
and Senator Barry Goldwater, two men who liked, trusted, and respected each other.  If those debates had taken place the future would have been different for all of us.

JFK had just moved to restore a silver standard.  Goldwater and he agreed on many issues and their differences then say much about the years that followed.

But it is too late?  We don't think so.  We are researching the issues that JFK and Goldwater intended to take up.  We will provide the place and give you the problems that were then driving events.  As the issues are debated we will look at what neither man knew about both the past and future.  It should be an education for all of us.  Sign up for bulletins and updates and if you want to help, let us know that, too.

Left, Right, Libertarian, Green, we are all Americans.
